A fashionable and romantic weekend at The Standard NYC Day - 1.

We were recently in NYC for work, and we decided to spend a few extra days and have a fun fashionable weekend. In the spirit of fashion and fun we decided to stay at The Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District. We are dedicating several posts to this romantic getaway, so keep an eye out for others. One fun thing about staying at The Standard NYC is that you can grab a bike and go, walk on the High Line, enjoy the quaint cobblestone streets, and shop till your hearts content if you wish.

PERSONAL STYLE
What I am Wearing....

Photography and video by Maring Visuals.

Outerwear...
I found this Patrizia Luca Milano outerwear a while back at Barami and it's still an artsy favorite. It keeps me warm on a late summer or early fall afternoon as a coverup. The big artist brush pockets are great for carrying my journal, and it's playful as well.

The Boots...
Everybody knows I love boots. These are black staples by Ralph Lauren.

The Sunglasses...
I am one to splurge when it comes to Sunglasses, and picked these Chanel glasses up on my last trip to vegas.

The Dress Underneath...
Can't see much of it I realize, but it's made by Bebe. I am a big fan of the tight, yet comfortable fit of their dresses, and it's a simple black staple.

The Coffee

I love a great cappuccino, and Blue Bottle Coffee makes a perfect one. They have a little stand on The High Line, and if you enjoy a great cup of joe, then it's worth the wait in line.

Also in the first part of the film above you see me drinking a Starbucks Valencia Orange Refresher. Love these! A perfect pick me up as it's lightly caffeinated with Green Coffee Extract.

The Camera...

Cameras are a part of everyday life for me, and so many others these days. Here I am carrying my Panasonic Lumix GH4, with an Olympus 12mm Prime lens. I adore the M43 format when I am on the move because it's light. Also, the entire film you can watch above was shot on one of these. Quite remarkable.
