When I set out for a walk on the beach this day in Oceanside, CA with my Lumix GH5, I did so with an open mind, and without any idea of what I would see. I use the word see rather than the word find, because on any other day these are all objects that are in some way present and available to us all. Yet, we don’t always take notice to just how special they are. I purposefully fitted my camera out with only one lens, a Leica 45mm f/2.8 Macro because each time I put this lens on my camera I tend to want to get close to my subjects and explore details.

Scattered widely across the beach there were beautiful tones of gold and green along with random objects interacting with them, and it felt as if there was a long story one could write about each of their journey’s out at sea. A life form, me, witnessing another life form, the seaweed. How we came to meet at this moment is a mystery to both of us. Yet here we were together. I had found a muse and now I get to share it with you. Peruse these beautiful photographs below, and enjoy to your hearts content.
